Official Name Change & Organizational Update
We are proud to announce that Wilson County No-Kill Animal Shelter is officially transitioning to a new name:
Wilson County Adoption & Rescue Services
This change marks an important new chapter for our organization. With new leadership, updated operational structure, and a renewed long-term vision, we are strengthening our ability to serve both animals and the people of Wilson County for many years to come.
As part of this transition, we are implementing updated guidelines, procedures, and accountability standards designed to improve animal welfare, increase community support, and ensure responsible growth as our rescue continues to expand. This includes the expansion of our current facilities and the development of additional locations in the future, allowing us to serve more animals, support more families, and respond more effectively to community needs.
What has not changed is our heart.
We remain firmly committed to our no-kill philosophy and to giving every animal in our care the best possible chance at life, love, and a permanent home. Our mission has always been — and will always be — to protect, heal, and place animals into safe, responsible families.
This new name represents who we are today and where we are going:
a full-service rescue organization dedicated to adoption, rehabilitation, and community partnership.
We are grateful for the continued trust and support of our community and look forward to continuing this journey together under the name Wilson County Adoption & Rescue Services.
